Boats, Bedminster, Biscuits and Butchers
An Art Installation showcasing artwork made by AIM artists as part of theFutures Past project.

The Futures Past project focused on aspects of the history of Greater
Bedminster. AIM partnered with SS Great Britain to explore the relationship
between the Bedminster and Bristol docks. The artists explored Bedminster'past from the perspective of the people and animals that inhabited the area, making artwork in response to their research. The installation is created from various mediums, including painting, textiles, ceramic and large-scale cardboard sculptures.
This event is part of Bristol Galleries Weekend, 20th – 23rd March 2025,
Bristol galleries and art spaces come together to offer a special programme of exhibitions, activities and events. This is an opportunity to discover and
explore Bristol’s world-class gallery scene, including talks, private views,
family workshops and special events.
This project was commissioned by Gathering Voices, with funding received from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
